Headteacher’s Message

Dear Glebe Families

As we approach the end of another fruitful term, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your continued support.  Your involvement and encouragement have been invaluable in making this term incredibly successful for our students and children.

We have exciting times ahead as we embark on summer renovations to create our new integrated Early Years environment.  This transformation promises to significantly enhance our facilities, providing a better space for our youngest learners.

All Year 1-6 children will be returning on 3 September.  Reception and Nursery details have been communicated separately.  Our wraparound provision will open on 3 September at 7.00am as per the communication earlier this week.  Willows Wraparound will be based in the demountable, a purpose built environment, where the renovation is already underway.  The entrance will be accessed through the Talbot Avenue entrance, to enhance site security.  Please park considerately and escort your children through the pathway to the provision.

We are also delighted to welcome Mrs Nesbitt and Mrs Elmes to our team in September.  They will be joining our wraparound provision and Nursery.

Additionally, we would like to invite you to our year group welcome meetings for parents at 9.00am.  These meetings will be held on the following dates:

  • 9 September: Year 1 and Year 6
  • 10 September: Year 2
  • 11 September: Year 3
  • 12 September: Year 4 and Year 5

During these meetings, your child’s year group team will present a basic PowerPoint that includes information on uniform, PE days, the curriculum and how the school days will be organised.  These sessions will provide an excellent opportunity to understand the plans for the year ahead and ask any questions you might have.

As we bid farewell to some of our long-serving agency staff, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Mr Taylor, Mrs Turp, Mrs Law and Mrs Benfield.  They have been incredible and we cannot thank them enough for their commitment to our school.  We wish them all the best in their new ventures and hope to see them again in the future.

For now, thank you once again for your ongoing support and engagement with our school community.  Enjoy the break, the holidays and the downtime that follows.  Please take this time to rest and recharge.  We look forward to welcoming you and your children back in September.

Warm regards

Mr Clarke
