Headteacher’s message

It was an absolute joy to see so many of you at the welcome meetings last week.  The feedback we received was incredibly positive, with many of you expressing your appreciation for the information provided and the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers.  I would like to extend my apologies to those who did not receive the notice about the meetings.  We are working tirelessly to improve our communication systems and with every new system, there are bound to be a few blips along the way.

Speaking of new systems, I want to express my gratitude for the engagement and positivity we have seen from both staff and parents regarding Class Dojo.  It has been wonderful to find a trusted and proven system that allows for effective and timely communication between parents and teachers.  The children are also loving the alternative approach to house points that Class Dojo offers.

In addition to Class Dojo, we are in the final stages of finalising free staff-run clubs.  We are excited to roll these out in the next week or two.  These clubs will provide further enrichment opportunities for our students and create a wider culture and exposure to the subjects we teach.  We will keep you informed about these clubs and how your child can get involved.

I would like to take a moment to remind everyone to use Class Dojo as a tool for positive communication.  Please refrain from using it as a platform for negativity and criticism.  Our goal is to create better communication, better access and better relationships with all members of our school community.  Negative and rude comments are unhelpful and can be demoralising for our hard working staff.  However, we do welcome constructive feedback and will do our best to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you once again for your continued support and engagement.  We are truly grateful for the partnership we have with our parents and together, we can create a positive and nurturing learning environment for our children.

We wish you all a fantastic weekend and look forward to seeing you all back here on Monday morning.
